Jennifer and Ryan got married in their backyard today, then drove over to my neck of the woods for a post-wedding engagement-style couples session – in their tux and (Jennifer's mom's) gown. This whole week has been pretty much guaranteed to rain, but we were gonna move forward no matter what. Not only did they get married today, but it's also BOTH their birthdays – how cool is that? I'm always honored to capture these moments for couples, but this was definitely extra-special, so glad everything fell into place to make it work. Enjoy my faves from their bride and groom sunset portrait session at Panther Beach (Santa Cruz) below:
Diana and Zoltan are Santa Cruz locals through and through – so it's fitting they decided to get married at historic Holy Cross Church – pretty much the first Santa Cruz landmark you see as you drive off 17 into town; its bright white tower announces its presence for all, day and night. THis romantic couple decided to get ready at the new(ish) Hotel Paradox, a great location close to downtown. However there's not a whole lot of open space on the hotel property, so we walked to San Lorenzo Park for the First Look, bridal party and bride and groom photos before the ceremony. Yes, the park has some interesting denizens, but everyone was respectful and we were able to get some great shots of this fun crew.
Raeann and Ryan lucked out – getting some beautiful weather on this early November wedding day at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. I met the couple at the nearby Marriott hotel for some getting ready shots – the guys had their 5 minutes of fame at their hotel room, while the majority of my time was spent with the women in their expansive suite! I like getting detail shots as well as get to know the bridal party and immediate family – and it gives them a chance to get used to the camera.
Cherylynn and Brian, who you may remember from their Picchetti Ranch engagement shoot a few weeks ago, tied the knot during a touching ceremony at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Fremont. Afterwards, the party got started at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon, one of my favorite wedding venues in the area. Everyone at this wedding was so great, I really enjoyed spending the day with everyone, capturing every big and little moment. I want to share some of my favorite photos from the day below, enjoy!
Weddings these days, especially in the Bay Area, are often a mix of cultures, religions and downright preferences. At the end of the day, weddings are about bringing people together, forming new families and foundations for the future. Divya and Ben brought their own unique personalities and families together and joined them into one at historic Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, California. We had awesome weather, the Indian food was to die for (I had seconds), and I got SO many great candid photos throughout the day into night. Enjoy some of my favorites below, check them all out here: http://www.goodeyephotography.com/Weddings/In/Menlo-Park/Allied-Arts-Guild/Divya-and-Ben
