Raeann and Ryan lucked out – getting some beautiful weather on this early November wedding day at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. I met the couple at the nearby Marriott hotel for some getting ready shots – the guys had their 5 minutes of fame at their hotel room, while the majority of my time was spent with the women in their expansive suite! I like getting detail shots as well as get to know the bridal party and immediate family – and it gives them a chance to get used to the camera.
Soon enough, we headed to The Bridges for Raeann and Ryan's first look – that setting where they see each other all dressed up for the first time – always a special moment! Ryan is a pretty level-headed guy, but he couldn't help but break out in a huge smile when he turned around to see his bride to be! After a few minutes we transitioned to bridal party photos, getting some really fun shots with this hilarious crew. After the bridal party I took the bride and groom down to "the tunnel" that so many photographers enjoy shooting at – then we made our way around the corner to get some shots on a wooden bridge with some nice natural backlight.
The ceremony itself was between the clubhouse and wedding hill, a little more protected from the elements than the hill – and more accessible for those in wheelchairs. Lots of laughs during the ceremony, even a few tears – but a joyous event at its core. We shot a few immediate family portraits after the ceremony before everyone piled into the beautifully decorated ballroom for toasts, drinking, tasty food and tons of great dancing. I could go on – but why don't you just check out some of my favorite photos below!
