Shark Fin Cove is a new location for me, which is kind of crazy because I shoot at Panther Beach, literally a mile away, all the time. Lucky for me, Alex decided this is where he wanted to pop the question to his girlfriend Lisa last week.
In our early communication, Alex went back and forth about whether or not I would capture this proposal in cognito, or if Lisa would go into it knowing we were going to have a couples' portrait session, but then at some point Alex would surprise her by getting down on one knee. I thought we had left off on the former, but it ended up being the latter – luckily I picked up on this quickly and rolled with it!!
We were about halfway through the session when I had the couple walking towards the water, doing a little dance move – when Alex smoothly transitioned into a kneeling position, looking into Lisa's eyes while pulling the ring out of his back pocket. I have to say that this was as fun as the whole thing being a surprise! Lisa of course was super excited and said YES, and we proceeded to finish the session with a new glow enhancing the shoot.
